Barnstable Celebrates Graduates

Graduates celebrate with their loved ones.

The Barnstable County Correctional Facility recently celebrated three young men who received their GEDs and six men who graduated from the ServSafe/culinary program.

According to numerous studies, these graduates have cut their chances of returning to jail by 43 percent by participating in educational and vocational programs.

The GED graduates made short speeches. The speeches were filled with gratitude for their teachers, Sheriff Donna Buckley and their families.

The Cape Cod Community College brought the ServSafe/culinary program to the facility.
