MSA Participates in Public Safety Forum

MSA

The MSA recently participated in a forum hosted by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the United State Department of Health and Human Services.

Held at Roxbury Community College, various community partners, service providers and public safety agencies also participated in the forum. The panel discussion focused on enhancing collaborations between public safety, public health and community partners in the delivery of care and services for those impacted by mental health and substance use disorders.

Topics included current best practice strategies, local & national initiatives, and emerging trends with the goal of creating an ongoing partnership dialogue focused on linking criminal justice-involved individuals with critically needed services and a continuum of care.
