Plymouth Sheriff's Office Wins March Mania Food Drive Challenge

The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office won the first ever “March Mania Food Drive” hosted by South Shore Community Action Council.


The office collected a total of 6,435 items during the month of March for the event.

Sheriff McDonald accepted the John van Hengel Championship trophy for winning.


“I’m not only proud but humbled by the generosity of our staff who see hardship firsthand and always step up to help.” said Sheriff McDonald.


Collectively, the March Mania Food Drive Challenge collected over 16,000 pounds of food, equivalent to nearly 12,000 meals.
