Worcester Hosts Annual Senior Picnic

MSA

Worcester seniors enjoying the 2024 picnic

The Worcester County Sheriff's Office held its' annual Senior Picnic. Over 1,000 senior citizens from Worcester County came out to participate in the free drive-thru picnic.

Participants received a boxed barbecue lunch, scratch ticket, gift cards, other giveaways, and raffle prizes. In addition, each car had the opportunity to visit the many vendors set up along the route.

Sheriff Evangelidis and his teams have been celebrating the senior citizens of Worcester County for over a decade. Each summer, a team of over 100 volunteers is assembled to serve seniors barbecue boxed lunches and to hand out raffle giveaways, goodie bags, scratch tickets, Chick-fil-A gift cards, and much more.

The picnic is put on with the help of the Worcester County Reserve Deputy's Association and a number of community partners.
